Exhibits: Fallout Shelter

Visitors will be amazed by the shelter replica.  Many will have memories of “Duck and Cover” drills from their school – age days.  Sponsorship and donation dollars will allow the museum to replicate the shelter from the turbulent times of the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Exhibition and Components:  As the Cold War became a reality, Americans were asked to construct and equip a family fallout shelter.  Visitors will walk through a re-created shelter that features the Civil Defense issued materials need to survive an attack by the enemy.

Square Footage and Location:   This exhibit will be part of the Cold War exhibition.   Located in the Historical section of the museum.

Donation Amounts:  Any amount contributed towards this exhibit will be greatly appreciated.
