Exhibits: Myth to Miracles: Nuclear Medicine & Radiology

Tens of thousands of people have some type of nuclear medical procedure each and every day.  This exhibit will trace early X-ray through modern day technology.  Your sponsorship or donation dollars will be used by the Museum to inform the public of all aspects of nuclear medicine, from yesterday’s myths to today’s miracles.

Exhibit and Components: The exhibit explores the miracles of early X-ray technology, the use of radiation by quack hucksters, and the advent of modern medical applications that save thousands of lives daily. The exhibition will feature the Anger Camera and the first scintillation camera that was developed in the 1950’s.  The exhibit will feature a modern Radiopharmaceutical station, complete with Gamma Camera. 

Square Footage and Location:  850 square feet of exhibit space.  Located in the Technology section of the museum.

Total Sponsorship Costs:  $400,000
