Exhibits: Cold War: Doomsday to Détente

Back to Exhibit Floor Plan

Continuing in the historical section of the museum, the visitor will examine the events of the Cold War that brought about the nuclear arms race between the USSR and the United States.  Emotions, fears and apprehensions ran at a dangerous level, but peace prevailed.  Visitors will learn how close we came to another war before the end of the Cold War.
